MESSAGE FROM
HIS EXCELLENCY
THE HONOURABLE ARTHUR D. HANNA
Someone once said “as long as children find pleasure in study, most likely they will continue throughout life”.
I am indeed delighted to commend and congratulate the Board of Directors of The Bahamas Primary School Student of The Year Foundation and The Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council on the occasion of the tenth annual Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards.
I congratulate also those students who have been selected from throughout The Bahamas, who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance to vie for the coveted title of “Student of the Year”. The young people are to be commended for the interest which they have shown and maintained in their education. They have laboured hard and long to attain academic excellence at such a early age. This competition, no doubt, will push or force them to strive for excellence
It is therefore, important that parents, teachers, caregivers and the wider community support and encourage the young people at every stage of their development as it is not easy for the young minds to be focused on positive things with all of the socials ills which pervade our society today.
It is noteworthy that organizations such as the Primary School Student of the Year Foundation conceive the idea to recognize those young talented persons whom other young persons may emulate.
Best wishes.

Governor-General
