Cyndi Williams-Rahming

Cyndi Williams- Rahming, current Chairman of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation is a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Cyndi joined the organization in 1998. She is an active member of the Nassau, Bahamas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, where she served as Chairman of the Fundraising Committee and the Arts & Letters Committees from 1998-2004. She has played an active role in Greekdom serving in several positions in the Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. She was Financial Secretary 2000-2002, Vice-President 2002-2004 and Council President 2004 - 2006. She was the 2nd female to head the local Council.
She is a former member of several Government Appointed Boards: Films & Cinemas Control Board, Past member of the Financial Services Consultative Forum, and a past member of the Labour Review Commission. She is a current Director of the PACE Foundation Board, Director on the Board of the Cancer Society of the Bahamas, Director of Mideci Investments Ltd., Director of Pickett Foods Limited, President of Pisari Investments Ltd., and President/Owner of Eunique Cynergy Limited.
Mrs. Williams-Rahming holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Business Management from Fisk University, as well as a Master of Business Administration Degree from Nova Southeastern University. She is the third child of Mr. & Mrs. Carleton W. Williams. She is married to Rayford Rahming Sr., and the couple attends Christian Life Church, Sea Breeze Lane.

Ricardo P. Deveaux

Ricardo P. Deveaux is the current President & CEO of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation and was instrumental in establishing the Student of the Year in 1997. He is a Life Member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His fraternal leadership includes serving as the 15th Chapter President (2000-2003) of the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter - Nassau, Bahamas - Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In January 2005, Darryl Matthews, Sr. - 32nd General President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. appointed Ricardo as Chairman, International Brothers Affairs, becoming the first Bahamian to serve on the senior leadership team of the Fraternity. He also served as the Fraternity’s Bahamas Area Director (October 2002 - March 2009).
Dr. Deveaux is also the Charter President of the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council, the first international council chartered by the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). In 1999, he made history in the NPHC, becoming the first international council member and one of the youngest members in the million-member organization to serve as National First Vice-President. He is a 1990 honour graduate of Bethune-Cookman College (now University) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a 1992 graduate of Nova Southeastern University with Master of Science Degrees in Human Resource Management & Human Services. In May 2009, he was the second Bahamian and one of the youngest individuals to deliver the commencement address at Bethune-Cookman University. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
He is the former Student Body President at Bethune-Cookman College (1989-90). His awards and honours include: Most Outstanding Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior - Bethune-Cookman College. The Ricardo Deveaux Spirited Award, an annual award at Nova Southeastern University named in his honour (April 1992) and being selected as one of only seven finalists in the 1992 Florida College Student of the Year Awards Program. In June 2004, He was the first inductee in The Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council - Greek Hall of Fame (June 2004). In October 2004, He was selected as one of three Finalists in the First Caribbean International Bank - Unsung Heroes Program for The Bahamas. In recognition of this achievement, First Caribbean presented a $6,000 grant to the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program. In May 2006, He was awarded the Distinguished Youth Leadership Award by Bahamas Faith Ministries International. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the One Bahamas Foundation. He is a former Director of the Simpson Penn Centre for Boys, Ranfurly Homes for Children and Golden Gates Academy. In September 2008, He was awarded the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Service through The Years Award.
Dr. Deveaux is employed with the Bahamas Government and is stationed in the Administration Section of The Office of The Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Senior Assistant Secretary. During September 2008 – December 2008, he completed a four month rotation at The Cabinet Office, where he sat in on the weekly Cabinet meeting of Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham and his Cabinet Ministers. He assisted the Secretary to The Cabinet in preparing the Cabinet notes. Mr. Deveaux is married to Pamela J. (Cunningham) Deveaux and they are the proud parents of two daughters - Richea Juanita and Paige Aaliyah Deveaux. He is the eldest son of Edward & Beverly Deveaux. Ricardo and his family worships at the Golden Gates Assemblies and World Outreach Ministries and St George's Anglican Church.

Vandyke Pratt, M.Sc

Vandyke Pratt is a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated. He is also the charter president of the Bahamas Colony. He is the youngest of seven children from the union of Heckson & Palma Pratt. His early education was obtained primarily in Grand Bahama in both public and private schools where he culminated his secondary education at the former Freeport Anglican High School . Mr. Pratt’s tertiary endeavors propelled him abroad where he became a Magna Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Business. Subsequent to that achievement Mr. Pratt continued his educational pursuits and obtained a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University .
Mr. Pratt’s leadership characteristics were evident during his collegiate career as he held numerous positions including Vice Polaris-Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated (Zeta Chapter-NC A&T State Univ.) 1995-96, President-National Agri-Marketing Association 1994-95, President-American Agricultural Economics Association 1994-95, Vice President- American Agricultural Economics Association 1995-96, President-Golden Key National Honor Society 1994-95.
Mr. Pratt’s Honors and awards include: Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 1995-96, Gamma Sigma Delta Agricultural Honor Society 1994, United States Achievement Academy ’s All American Scholar 1994-95, Deans List-North Carolina A&T State University.
Mr. Pratt entered the work force in the Banking arena in 1998 and has garnered experience in both the Development and Commercial Banking sectors where he has worked assiduously. He is currently employed at the Royal Bank of Canada as an account manager in the Commercial Financial Services area.
He attends Christian Life Church is married to the former Latoya Albury and has three beautiful daughters Gabrielle, Ariel and Adara Pratt.

Myra E. Mitchell

Myra E. Mitchell is a Diamond-Life member of The Nassau, Bahamas Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She held the position of President for the term 1998 - 2002. Ever since her initiation, Ms. Mitchell has been very active, and has held numerous other positions in her chapter, namely, Vice President, Chair/Program Planning & Development, Chair/ Nomination Committee, and Leader of Minerva Circle. She has chaired and served on many other chapter committees. She has also served on many Southern Region conference committees. When the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council was chartered, Myra E. Mitchell held the position of Charter Parliamentarian; and has also been bestowed the title - Distinguished Charter Parliamentarian.
The Bahamas Telecommunications Company employs Ms. Mitchell as Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager. She has matriculated at The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edwards University (BSc. - Computer Sciences), and the University of Miami (M.B.A.). She has also earned the designation of Certified Manager (CM) from James Madison University, Virginia. Ms. Myra E. Mitchell attends St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, and resides on the island of New Providence, The Bahamas. Ms. Mitchell is the daughter of Mr. C. Leroy Mitchell (deceased) and Dame Paula L. Mitchell.

Cassandra M. Bowles is a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She currently holds the position of Sergeant-At-Arms of the Nassau, Bahamas Alumnae Chapter. Since her initiation into the chapter, she has been very active having served on numerous fund-raising committees.
Mrs. Bowles attended St. Leo University where she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Secretarial Science. She continued her education at Florida A&M University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude, in Business Education, where she completed a ‘State Approved Teacher Education Program’. Mrs. Bowles presently serves as the Senior Guidance Counselor at Queens’ College High School with responsibility for the Career and College Counseling of all students. Having joined the teaching staff of Queen’s College in September 1983 as the Business Education Teacher, she remained in the classroom until being approached and recommended to apply for the position of Guidance Counselor in 1995. Mrs. Bowles has held that position ever since and has the added responsibility for all External Examinations of the school (PSAT, BGCSE, SAT I and SAT II). She is also the Coordinator of the CollegeBoard’s Advanced Placement (AP) Programme at Queen’s College. Mrs. Bowles is also a Certified Global Career Facilitator (USA), having recently obtained her certification in February 2010.
She is the daughter of Hubert and Virginia Storr (Deceased). Cassandra and her husband, Floyd, are members of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Stapledon Gardens.

Ryan Antonio is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He is a Past First Vice President of the Delta Epsilon Sigma Chapter. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA degree in Corporate Finance from City University of New York, New York as well as a BBA degree in Public Accounting from Pace University, New York. He is a proud graduate of St. John’s College (’84).
Mr. Antonio is a member of several organizations including the Kiwanis Clubs of Nassau, A.M. and the Kiwanis Club of Cable Beach. Through his efforts, he earned the title of Distinguished President (07-08) and Distinguished Secretary (04-05). In October 2010, Mr. Antonio will assume the role of Lieutenant Governor of the Sunshine Division with responsibility for overseeing for the ten clubs in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Harbor Island and Long Island and two Satellite Clubs in the Berry Islands and Abaco. In addition, he is a member of Lodge St. David #1741 (SC) and a number of other Masonic bodies.
Mr. Antonio is presently employed as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC). He is married to the former Patrice Cox and is the father of two children, Bryan and Alliyah and is a member of the Zion South Beach Full Gospel Baptist Church and also worships at St. George’s Anglican Church.

Errol L. Bodie is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. He previously served as Chapter Secretary and President of The Bahamas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is currently the 9th President of the Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. Prior to his current role, he was Council Vice-President and Chair of the Annual Barefoot Summer Jam Step Show
Mr. Bodie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Nova Southeastern University in 1994. He is currently studying towards a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool. He is employed at The Central Bank of The Bahamas as Manager of Information Technology.

Vaughn L. Culmer

Vaughn L. Culmer is the Past President of the Pi Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Past President of the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council. He has been a member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for thirty (30) years. He was the fourth Basileus of Pi Xi Chapter, Nassau, Bahamas and served for two terms from 1990 to 1994. He selected as the "Omega Man of The Year" in 1991 and he received the Fraternity's "Superior Service Award" in 1997. Mr. Culmer also served as the third President of the Nassau, Bahamas Pan Hellenic Council (1992 - 1994). He awarded the Distinguished Past President Award in 1995 and the Meritorious Service Award in 1996.
An avid sportsman, Mr. Culmer was very successful at the High School and University level in Track & Field. After returning to the Bahamas in 1983 he played Soccer until his retirement in 1997. He was the Assistant General Secretary of the Bahamas Football Association for four years followed by six year tenure as the General Secretary. During his service he traveled to Guatemala , Canada and New Mexico representing the Bahamas and assisted in paving the political roads for the success the current administration is now enjoying.
In 1979, Mr. Culmer graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He began his current profession in 1985 as the Manager of Group and Claims Operations for American Life Insurance Company followed by stints with Life of Barbados and Colina (CIGNA) Insurance Company before establishing in 1995, Vaughn L. Culmer & Associates, Insurance Agents and Brokers Ltd. He is one of the Founding Members of the Bahamas Insurance Brokers Association and a former Board Director of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Culmer enjoys giving his time and service back to our youth. He is a former Junior Achievement Advisor and now spends time coaching Youth Soccer and Track & Field. His pride and joy are his three daughters, Vashaun (Fisk University Graduate and Valdosta State, Graduate) , Shevaun (Spelman University, Graduate) and Shaune' (St. Augustine's College - Grade Nine). |

Dr. Cindy Dorsett

Dr. Cindy Dorsett is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She currently serves as the Vice-President of the Eta Psi Omega Chapter. She is the former Executive Vice-President of the Student Government Association and Senior Class Vice-President at Bethune-Cookman University. She is a 1991 honour graduate of Bethune-Cookman University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a 1997 graduate of the University of the West Indies with a MBBS Degree.
Dr. Dorsett is the Medical Director and owner of The Poinciana Medical Center and Medical Doctor for the Star Trackers Track Club. She is married to Oscar L. Dorsett, former Chapter President of the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. They are the proud parents of three children: Tai, Taj and Tyriq. She is the daughter of Ezra and Regina Rolle of Pinder’s Point, Grand Bahama. Dr. Dorsett and her family are members of Mt. Tabor Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Dr. Beverton R. Moxey MD

Dr. Beverton R. Moxey is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He was inducted in the Gamma Epsilon Chapter at Hampton University and is presently a financial member of the Pi Xi Graduate chapter in Nassau, Bahamas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology Pre-med from Hampton University and his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Moxey completed his internship and specialty training in Internal Medicine at the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine Roanoke-Salem Program where he also served as the Chief Medical Resident. He received numerous accolades and awards during his scholastic career including All American Scholar, Who’s Who among American Colleges and Universities and induction into the Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society. While at Hampton, Dr. Moxey served as Co-facilitator of the Student Leadership program and Vice-President of the Student Recruitment Team for the University. His leadership skills were further honed when he was elected as President of his medical school class.
Dr. Moxey is presently an Acting Consultant in the Department of Medicine at the Princess Margaret Hospital and an Associate Lecturer in Medicine with the University of the West Indies School of Medicine. He is an Attending Physician at Doctors Hospital where his practice encompasses General Internal Medicine, Emergency Services and Critical Care. Dr. Moxey is a board certified Internal Medicine Specialist by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has a private practice located on Montrose Avenue and Arundel Street in Nassau, Bahamas. His professional affiliations include: member of the American college of Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine and the Bahamas Medical Council. Dr. Moxey is a contributing author on several research publications and he has presented at numerous scientific meetings. He is an avid sailing and track and field enthusiast. He enjoys collecting art work and participating in cultural events with his Junkanoo Group the Saxons Superstars. |

Jaydian Miller

Jaydian J. Miller, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., started his secondary education at St. Augustine's College completing seventh to tenth grades, and then finishing at Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, Florida, where he obtained a high school graduate diploma in 2003. He continued his higher education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2008.
While attending the University of South Florida, his leadership abilities led him to become the Secretary of the National Panhellenic Council (2007-2008), Awards and Scholarships committee member of Phi Sigma Pi (2005-2008), Vice President and Fundraising Chair of Sigma Alpha Pi (2007-2008), and President of Lambda Pi Eta (2007-2008). He is a life member in these organizations. In 2010, he was the recipient of the Most Accomplished Former Student Athlete award at the South Florida Awards ceremony at the University of South Florida.
He was an avid Track and Field athlete while in high school and college. As a high school athlete, he was the Florida High School Athletic Association Triple Jump State Champion (2002) and bronze medalists in the long and triple jump (2003). He made the Miami Herald All-Dade First Team (2002 & 2003) and was also a USA Track and Field All-American placed 5th in the nation in the triple jump (2003). In college, he was a 2004 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships participant and the 2005 Conference USA Champion in the Triple Jump. He was also the former long jump and triple jump record holder at the University of South Florida (2003-2007). In addition to being a successful athlete, he made the honor roll as a student-athlete in Conference USA and the Big East (2003-2008)
For his community service contributions as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, he was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from The Black Student Union. He has participated in many community service initiatives including Shriners Children's Hospital for disabled children (2004-2006), Hope Lodge playing bingo with the elderly (2005-2007), Stampede of Service cleaning up a neighborhood park (2006), Hudson Manor where we played Bingo, Hangman, Cards, and other games with the elderly (2007), Stampede of Service cleaning a room at an old folks home (2008), A Life Lasting Touch for the Homeless (2010), and Bell Ringing for Salvation Army at Kelly's (2010).
He is presently the Sales Floor Manager and Night Operations Manager at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Palace. He is 4th Vice Chairman of the Progressive Young Liberals and a mentor who is dedicated to empowering youths in the Bahamas. He attends Faith Temple Ministries and is the son of Joyce Rahming and Leslie Miller.

Phenton O. Neymour is the Past President of the Delta Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Charter Vice-President of the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University where he was a varsity track & field athlete. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami .
Mr. Neymour is a former Head Boy of both St. Paul 's College in Freeport (1979-80) and Queen's College in Nassau (1981-82). In addition, he has over 15 years flying experience with both American and British pilot licenses and rating.
In his professional career he has been instrumental in the construction of numerous facilities throughout the Bahamas including Water & Sewerage facilities, Docks, Roads, Airports and Petroleum Service Facilities. He is presently the Bahamas Family Islands and Turks & Caicos Islands Territory Manager at Esso Standard Oil, which is a subsidiary of the Exxon Mobil Corporation.
Mr. Neymour has been involved in the Trade Union Movement for eleven (11) years, serving nine (9) years as the President of the Water & Sewerage Corporation Management Union and six (6) years as the Assistant Secretary General of the Bahamas Trade Union Congress.
He has contributed to numerous community activities either through sponsorship or as an advisor to youth programs for many years, such as Junior Achievement and the Sigma Beta boys Club. He has also served as the local President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity for nine (9) years. He has sponsored women's softball and men's Basketball teams in his hometown of Exuma for four (4) years.
In the 2002 General Elections he was a candidate for the Coalition for Democratic Reform (CDR) in the South Beach Constituency. Phenton was selected as the candidate for the Free National Movement (FNM) in the South Beach Constituency for the 2007 General Election. In May 2007, Phenton was elected to the Honourable House of Assembly and was subsuquently appointed to The Cabinet as the Minister of State for Public Utilities by the Rt. Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham, M.P, - Prime Minister. In a Cabinet shuffle in July 2008, he was appointed Minister of State for The Environment. Phenton is the son of Basil Neymour and the former Ena Neymour and is married to the former Juliet Gittens and the couple has two children, Ashley and Jonathan.

Shane O. D. Albury is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He served as the 17th President of the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter. He serves on the Fraternity's International Brothers Affairs Committee. Mr. Albury has held several offices and served on numerous committees for the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter. He is also an active member of the Nassau Bahamas, Pan Hellenic Council, having served as Special Assistant to the Local President and Council Chaplain. He is also a member of Lodge Ft. Nassau, Scottish Constitution No. 1819, National Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Blue Hills Constituency of the Free National Movement. He also serves as Asst. Coach Sr. Boy’s softball team of St. Augustine's College.
Mr. Albury is a 1993 graduate of St. Augustine's College, Raleigh, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Currently he is the President of Quencom Audio Visual and Josari Management Ltd. He attends All Saints Anglican Church and is a member of the Anglican Church Men and supporter of the youth of the parish. He is an avid sportsman having played baseball, softball, basketball, football and rugby.
Mr. Albury is the son of Rick and Barbara (deceased) Albury. He is married to Kenris Johnson-Albury and they have three wonderful kids, Joshua, Sari and Skai Albury. Shane is a lover of life and lives by the words "To complain would be ungrateful".

Carol L. Smith is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Carol served as the 5th President (2000-2002) of the Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. She made history by becoming the first female to serve as president of the local council. Ms. Smith served as a Member of the Protocol Committee and Awards Banquet Committee for the 62nd National NPHC Convention. She is a 1989 Graduate of Success Training College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration and a 1993 Honour Graduate of Florida Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Her undergraduate leadership experiences included: President, Undergraduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and President, Bahamas Student's Connection. Since returning home, she has served as Secretary of the Theta Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Advisor to the Zeta Archonettes Youth Organization, Distinguished Charter Secretary - Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council, President, Nassau Chapter - Florida Memorial College Alumni Association and Member of the Annex Baptist Church. Her awards and honours include: President's and Dean's List - Florida Memorial University, Collegiate Soror of the Year - Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., 1995 Distinguished Citizen Award, Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council and 1993 Distinguished Service Award Williamson Family Reunion. Ms. Smith is a Business Studies Teacher at C. I. Gibson Secondary School. She is the daughter of Vinston and Nora Smith.

Steven G. Strachan is a Subscribing Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. A Member of the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, he served as a Chapter Secretary (2002-2004), member of the Honours Day Committee and member of the Membership Committee. He is a 1996 Graduate of Sojourner-Douglass College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration.
Mr. Strachan is a former Assistant Leader for 14th Company Bahamas Boys Brigade Company and Member of the Family Life & Marriage Enrichment Ministry, Zion Baptist Church - East & Shirley Street. Steven is a former Senior Officer on the Royal Bahamas Police Force. He was the Officer in Charge of the Security Intelligence Branch - Grand Bahama and Northern Bahamas Division. He is presently employed as the Manager of Security at The Bahamas Electricity Corporation. He is married to Shunda (Missick) Strachan and they are the proud parents of two daughters - Erin & Tyler and one son Zayne.

Tanya A. Woodside is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. During her undergrad years, she received numerous athletic awards including, Most Outstanding Female Athlete, Team Captain, Champion Hurdler and Four-time All American, NCAA Division
She is the Charter President of Lambda, Lambda Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. at Texas A&M University, College Station. She is also the Charter President of the Kappa Delta Sigma Chapter (Nassau, Bahamas) of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She is currently active with The Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council having held positions as Correspondence Secretary, Step Show Judge and Chairperson of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Committee 2002.
For her commitment to service, she was awarded the NPHC Distinguished Soror Award 2003/2004 for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Tanya is also actively involved in several other notable civic organizations: Pilot Club of Nassau. The Nassau Sunrise Rotary Club where she served as Secretary 2004-05, Charter member and Secretary 2004-2006 - Bahamas Insurance Brokers' Association, Charter Treasurer - Toastmaster Club 7178, Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Charter Secretary, Jsmart Investment Club.
With a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sociology/Organization Management, she made an easy transition into management as the head of the Life, Health & Employee Benefits Department at J S Johnson & Company, Ltd., where she specializes in the design and implementation of employee and executive level benefit packages for corporate clients. In September 2008, Ms. Woodside opened her own Insurance Brokers Office. Ms. Woodside certainly lives a very active life, but she finds time to enjoy traveling, jogging, reading and spending quality time with friends and family. |
