Message From The NPHC President
I am once again delighted to congratulate this year’s cadre of outstanding primary school students from throughout the archipelago of The Bahamas. The Bahamas Primary School Student of The Year Awards Program provides the mechanism to recognize and encourage the jewels of our nation to excel not only in academics, but in life. This is very evident by the many former nominees and winners that continue to achieve in their studies and other extra-curricular activities.
Congratulations to all of the 2010 nominees - you should all be very proud of your achievements. As role models and our future leaders, you are encouraged to inspire your fellow classmates to also strive for excellence in the classroom. Parents must also be congratulated for undoubtedly spending countless hours helping and supporting their children develop both academically, spiritually and socially.
The sheer magnitude of organizing and hosting of this program requires not only the collaborative efforts of the Bahamas Primary School Student of The Year Foundation and the Nassau, Bahamas National Pan Hellenic Council, but also that of many of our other partners. The Foundation and Council are very thankful to the many supporters of this program as we seek to recognize the nation’s best and brightest students. Without the many contributions of time, talent and funds, and despite the recent downturn in the economy, this program continues to successfully affect the lives of our national gems -- our students. For this, I say thank you.
I am pleased that the National Pan Hellenic Council, and its member organizations, remain committed to the ideals of this program. I must recognize the many members of Greek Fraternities and Sororities who tireless work as members of the Foundation Board of Directors, as committee members and as sponsors and donors; you continue to demonstrate your commitment to community service. Congratulations to the Chairperson, the
President, the Vice Presidents and the Directors for a job well done.
Congratulations to all!
Errol L. Bodie
