MESSAGE FROM
THE
MINISTER OF YOUTH, SPORTS & CULTURE

The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation and the Nassau Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council, over the past thirteen years, have done much by way of encouraging and inspiring young Bahamians to strive for excellence through the annual Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Programme.
Public recognition of those who excel at the primary level not only encourages them to continue to propel towards excellence at other levels but to also inspire their peers to emulate their efforts with greater determination.
I salute the 114 nominees in this year’s Awards Programme and encourage all of you to continue to strive to be trailblazers in this country. Your hard work has earned you the right to be listed among the “Who’s Who in Primary Schools in The Bahamas”. You have indeed brought much joy to your families, schools and communities. Keep up the good work.
I am fully aware that to host a programme of this magnitude takes the collaborative efforts of many partners. The Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture is pleased to once again serve as a partnering sponsor for this Awards Programme. The Bahamas owes The Chairman, President and Directors of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation and the Nassau Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council much gratitude for mounting the project. You have truly given much recognition to a group of deserving students at a critical period in their development.
As Minister with responsibility for Youth, Sports and Culture, I am pleased to commend parents, corporate and individual sponsors and participating schools for joining the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation in this national effort to showcase some extremely talented students.
Congratulations!!!!
Hon. T. Desmond Bannister
Minister of Youth, Sports & Culture
