HONOURING THE MEMORY
OF OUR DEPARTED COLLEAGUES

When the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council created The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation in June 2004, among the individuals who were Founding Directors were: Cyndi Williams-Rahming; Phenton Neymour and Steven Strachan. Joining the Foundation Board in 2009 was Daxton D'Von Bethell. 

 

Cyndi Williams Rahming served as the Foundation's Chairman from 2004 until 2012 when she retired from active service and was awarded the title of Chairman Emerita in recognition of her outstanding contribution. She continued her support until her passing in June 2022. 

 

Phenton Neymour served as a Awards Program Donor in 1997; Scholarship Donor and was a Founding Director of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation in 2004. He retired from active service in 2008. He was awarded the title of Vice-President Emeritus in recognition of his outstanding contribution. He continued his support until his passing in July 2018. 

 

Steven Strachan served as an Awards Committee Member and was a Founding Director of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation in 2004. He retired from active service in 2014. He was awarded the title of Vice-President Emeritus in recognition of his outstanding contribution. He continued his support until his passing in December 2020. 

 

Daxton Bethel served as an Awards Committee and was appointed to the Foundation Board of Directors in 2010. He served as Assistant Vice-President and was promoted to Vice-President of Communications in 2019. He served the Foundation with great honour until his passing in October 2020. 

 

In recognition of the contributions of Chairman Emerita Cyndi WIlliams Rahming; Vice-President Emeritus Phenton Neymour; Vice-President Emeritus Steven Strachan and Vice-President Daxton Bethell, The Foundation will present scholarships in their honour at the Annual Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program. 

 

Remembering the lives of our colleagues who impacted another generation through their service. 

 

May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
