We are pleased to announce that the national search for the best and brightest primary school students in The Bahamas has officially begun for the 2027 Awards Program.

​

Each school duly registered with NAECOB is eligible to submit one (1) top-performing sixth-grade student as its nominee. Completed portfolios must be submitted no later than Friday, February 5, 2027. No late submissions will be accepted.

As you may be aware, the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation has entered a period of transition. The Board is committed to ensuring that a new President & CEO is appointed before the commencement of the 2028 Program cycle.

It is my sincere desire to see this organization continue to thrive and expand beyond my tenure. I remain fully committed to supporting the Board and assisting with a smooth, successful, and well-managed leadership transition. Together, we will safeguard the Foundation’s legacy while preparing it for an even greater future.

Since 1997, the Foundation has proudly recognized more than 3,400 outstanding primary school students, the “Who’s Who in Primary Schools”—and has awarded more than $3.7 million in scholarships and prizes.

These achievements represent more than numbers. They reflect thousands of young lives encouraged, families uplifted, dreams nurtured, and futures transformed. We look forward to continuing this important work and deepening our impact throughout The Bahamas.
